See How TradeShield Works
TradeShield is a safety layer between you and the market. It does not replace your broker or exchange; it sits alongside your own account to check conditions, watch connection health, and keep you aware of risk. You stay in full control, and no funds move through TradeShield.
Step 1: Connect where you trade
Link your own brokerage or exchange account using the authorization the provider supports. TradeShield uses the access you grant to read account information and, if you allow it, to place, cancel, modify, or query orders. You can revoke that access at any time, and the API Authorization Agreement explains how.
Step 2: Turn on protection
Choose the protection settings and limits you want. Before an order is sent, TradeShield can check it against those limits and against current conditions, such as whether the connection is healthy. If a check fails, you see the reason rather than a silent rejection.
Automation is optional. You can run paper bots on a schedule within the limits you set, and you can pause them at any time. Auto-Protect is opt-in: when Shield is confirmed down it tries to cancel pending orders on supported exchanges. Cancellation depends on your exchange and isn't guaranteed.
Step 3: Trade safer and review
After orders are placed, the activity record shows what you requested and what the broker returned. Connection monitoring reports whether your feed is live, delayed, or offline, so you know when to trust what you see.
These controls are best-effort. Execution slippage, partial fills, and connectivity failures can still occur, and paper results are simulated.
Frequently asked questions
Does TradeShield move my funds?
No. Your funds stay with your connected brokerage or exchange. TradeShield only uses the access you authorize.
Can I stop automation?
Yes. You can pause bots or revoke access at any time.
Do safety checks guarantee a result?
No. TradeShield controls are best-effort and cannot prevent every loss or failure.
Can Auto-Protect fail to cancel orders?
Yes. Auto-Protect is opt-in on every plan. When Shield is confirmed down it tries to cancel pending orders on supported exchanges. Your device can trigger it while the app is open, and the server retries after failed probes. Cancellation depends on your exchange and isn't guaranteed.
